FEATURES
Length: 75 cm
Colour: Light brown with dark brown spots. A third and less valuable member of the family, Galeus melastomus is recognizable by the large dark spots on the sides and the fact that her mouth is black inside. In Europe you can find in the Mediterranean basin and in the world along the coasts of the eastern Atlantic. Lives low to medium depths and feeds mainly on molluscs and polyps. In English it is also called Sandy dogfish
USES AND FUEL CONSUMPTION:
To be consumed preferably cooked in a pan or in the oven.

Colore: Marrone chiaro con chiazze marrone scure. Un terzo e meno apprezzabile membro della famiglia, il Galeus Melastomus è riconoscibile dalle grandi macchie scure sui fianchi e dal fatto che ha la bocca nera all'interno. In Europa si può trovare nel bacino del Mediterraneo e nel mondo lungo le coste dell'Atlantico orientale. Abita fondali medio bassi e si nutre prevalentemente di polipi e molluschi. In inglese viene chiamato anche Sandy dogfish
